Making the case for jobs

We couldn’t agree more, and that’s why we have been relentlessly banging the drum for more, higher-paying jobs. It is among the reasons we opposed Measure P, the anti-oil initiative on the ballot earlier this month. If it had passed, Santa Barbara County — primarily North County — would have lost a key component of the local economy. You don’t need advanced degrees in economics to understand that if we can improve our economy by providing more and higher-paying jobs, just about everyone will benefit. An economy rising like the ocean tide floats just about everyone’s boat.
